VNU-HCM directly recruits excellent and talented candidates from high schools

(CPV) - From May 15 to June 15, excellent students from high schools and talented students in sports and art competitions can apply for admission to VNU-HCM.

In order to recruit excellent students to the school, VNU-HCM issued Official Dispatch No. 657/DHQG-DT on the implementation of the method of giving priority to direct admission of excellent and talented candidates of high schools; giving priority to admission of excellent students of high schools nationwide.

Accordingly, from May 15 to June 15, excellent students from high schools and talented students in sports and art competitions can apply for admission to VNU-HCM.

Candidates for this admission must be introduced and confirmed by the principal (or must be authorized by the principal to have the school's Board of Directors sign the confirmation on his behalf) as excellent or talented students of the school and must ensure the main criteria of having good academic performance and good conduct in 3 years of high school; the average score of 3 years of high school is in the top 5 highest students in the school.

Candidates with combined criteria such as: Certificates or certificates of merit for excellent student awards at the provincial/municipal level, First, Second, Third prizes (choose the highest award achieved in high school); International foreign language certificates; Certificates or certificates of merit, other records related to academic achievements, talents in sports, art competitions and training during high school, etc. are an advantage.

This method has a maximum admission quota of 5% of the total quota of the major/group of majors. To apply, candidates access the electronic information page of VNU-HCM at the link to register online, then send the application directly to the member university, faculty and branch of VNU-HCM.

It is expected that before June 22, 2023 (before the 2023 high school graduation exam), VNU-HCM will announce the admission results./.
