Relocating wood chip processing factory to hand over site for Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has just issued a decision approving the investment policy and approving the investor for Quang Tri Forest Products Joint Stock Company to implement the project of relocating and expanding the wood chip and paper material processing factory.

The project aims to relocate the Wood Chip Processing Factory for Paper Materials in Tay Vinh Linh Youth Employment Village, Vinh Son Commune, Vinh Linh District to clear the ground for the construction of the North-South Expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section. Relocate the sawmill, cajuput and rubber processing factory with a capacity of 15,000 ^m3 /year. Build a factory to produce energy pellets.

The new project location is in Vinh Ha commune, Vinh Linh district. The project scale has a land use area of 6 hectares. The design capacity is 60,000 tons of wood chips/year, 15,000 ^{m3 of} sawn wood/year and 6,000 tons of energy pellets/year. The construction scale is level 4, height under 6 m, construction density 13.75%. The service products provided include wood chips, sawn wood, energy pellets.

The total investment capital of the project is 51 billion VND. Of which, the investor's contributed capital is 12.2 billion VND, mobilized capital is 38.8 billion VND. The project implementation progress includes: from the third quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2026, completing the relocation and investing in expansion items including: chip factory, sawmill, wood processing; pellet factory. In the second quarter of 2026 - the fourth quarter of 2026, investing in other auxiliary items and completing and putting into operation in the first quarter of 2027.
