Seoul has emerged as a global beauty mecca. As Korean culture continues to explode around the world , more and more tourists are flocking to the capital to immerse themselves in the world of K-beauty.

Instead of just focusing on shopping for products, many people are visiting makeup studios in Seoul to discover the secrets behind the radiant skin of Korean celebrities.

Famous studios located in Seoul's most fashionable neighborhoods now cater not only to celebrities but also to a diverse range of clients.

The studios' message is not just about makeup services, but also about a cultural experience, helping customers connect with the latest Korean-style beauty trends and techniques.

According to Kim Han-sol, a makeup artist at Neu Haus, a studio located in Yongsan District, central Seoul, beauty treatments at her studio are part of the itinerary for international tourists .

Clients often choose hair and makeup packages, then visit the studio to have professional or natural photos taken. "This whole process has become a kind of new experience," Kim said.

Makeup studios in Seoul, including Neu Haus, have embraced this personalization trend by offering makeup classes alongside their regular services.

For many international visitors, makeup classes offer an opportunity to learn Korean beauty secrets directly from experts, and to apply the techniques learned to best suit their own faces.

"Usually, a Korean person helps customers book tours, but recently we've also received requests from travel companies," Kim said. Some customers even bring their own interpreters to optimize the experience and learn techniques they can apply when they return home.

One client who impressed Kim at the studio was a man who booked a makeup class for his 70-year-old mother. He was inspired after a colleague attended a class at the studio and saw the impressive transformation, so he wanted his mother to experience it too.

"Regardless of nationality, gender, or age, everyone wants to feel better about themselves, and that's perfectly normal," Kim said.
