COVID-19 epidemic today: Infections decrease

Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on August 30 to 4:00 p.m. on August 31, the whole country recorded 38 infections, a decrease compared to the previous day.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has had 11,622,858 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. The total number of cured cases is 10,640,534. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

During the day, 18 patients were announced to be cured. Currently, the whole country has no more severe COVID-19 patients.

To date, our country has administered more than 266.5 million doses of vaccine. The number of doses administered to people aged 18 and over is 223,841,647 doses; the number of doses administered to children aged 12-17 is 23,965,655 doses; and the number of doses administered to children aged 5-11 is 18,725,280 doses. The rate of complete basic vaccination for people aged 12 and over is approximately 100%; the rate of third vaccination for people aged 18 and over is 82%.
