Specifically, the highest admission cutoff score for the medical and pharmaceutical fields is for Medicine and Dentistry with 22.5 points (this is 0.5 points higher than the cutoff score of the past two years); Midwifery; Dental Prosthetics Technology; Medical Laboratory Technology; Medical Imaging Technology; Rehabilitation Technology; Nursing; and Preventive Medicine are at 19 points. The cutoff score for Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy is 21 points.
Although the minimum admission score isn't excessively high, there's usually a significant difference in the cut-off scores for top-tier universities. Below are some statistics on the 2022 cut-off scores for medical schools to help candidates make informed decisions before applying to medical institutions.
Accordingly, the 2022 admission cutoff score for Hanoi Medical University was 28.15; for the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, it was 27.3; for the Vietnam Traditional Medicine University, it was 25.55; for Thai Binh Medical and Pharmaceutical University, it was 26.3; and for Hai Phong Medical and Pharmaceutical University, it was 27.

Private medical schools set their admission cutoff scores at 22 to 23 points.
Thus, it can be seen that prestigious schools have very high admission scores, above 26 points, while private schools have an average minimum score of 22 points.
According to expert predictions, based on the high school graduation exam scores, the cut-off scores for majors in science-related fields, including A00 and B00, will decrease by 0.5 to 1 point.
This year's admissions season, some universities are considering supplementary criteria, including Literature as a selection factor, so the cutoff scores will fluctuate. However, generally speaking, to get into top universities like Hanoi Medical University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the cutoff score will be above 27 points.
