Highlights of wildlife rescue and breeding

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh and representatives of relevant departments and branches visited the current status of River Safari; surveyed the rescue work, rescue procedures of the veterinary hospital and nutrition area; and surveyed the safety control process of the wild animal area.

In the past time, Vinwonders Nam Hoi An has supported the care and rescue of 1,511 individuals: Bengal tigers, walaby kangaroos, pangolins, red-faced monkeys, otters... transferred from functional agencies in Quang Nam province and a number of provinces and cities across the country.

Currently, at the Safari Zoo, Vinwonders Nam Hoi An manages 53 species with 883 wild animals including: lions, tigers, Asian elephants, gibbons, ostriches, swans, camels, zebras, antelopes... The facility has recorded many species growing and reproducing well such as: Bengal tigers, ring-tailed lemurs, white-cheeked gibbons, sable-horned antelopes...

The activities of Vinwonders Nam Hoi An Safari Zoo are basically strictly implemented to ensure management, captivity, support for rescue reception and reporting. The species raised at the facility grow well and are increasingly growing in number.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh highly appreciated the strict operating procedures, rescue work, conservation, and promotion of the value of wild animals at the Safari Zoo. However, the provincial leader suggested that the unit should also anticipate proactive handling plans to ensure the safety of the community in case of incidents involving wild animals.

"The Safari Zoo has been very impressive and attracted a large number of visitors, but it is also necessary to research and create conditions for local people to visit. The unit can periodically research a few periods of time and times of the year that do not affect business activities to design a program to create conditions for local residents to better understand the world of wild animals, thereby contributing to raising awareness of biodiversity conservation in the community" - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mr. Le Tri Thanh suggested.
