Recently, the Social Insurance of Region 22 and the Social Insurance of Thang Binh - Que Son district held a propaganda and dialogue session with about 200 workers of Domex Quang Nam Company Limited at the Ha Lam - Cho Duoc Industrial Cluster (Binh Phuc Commune, Thang Binh). Domex Quang Nam Company Limited currently has 1,400 workers working in the garment industry.
Ms. Ho Thi Le - Assistant Director of Domex Quang Nam Company Limited said that in the past, after each recruitment period, new workers were trained and instructed by the company on the policies, salary calculation methods, and labor laws so that everyone could understand them.
“This is the second time that the Thang Binh - Que Son Social Insurance has paid attention to and supported the propaganda and dialogue. We have also asked workers to ask in depth about issues directly related to their rights so that the Social Insurance agency can answer. Notably, the one-time withdrawal of Social Insurance is worth noting because currently, workers still do not understand and have questions about this issue. Recently, some employees of the company have also quit their jobs and withdrawn their Social Insurance at one time, which will affect their future rights,” said Ms. Le.
At the dialogue, employees were informed of new points of the Social Insurance Law No. 41/2024/QH15, effective from July 1, 2025.
Ms. MTH (Domex Quang Nam Co., Ltd.) asked, after July 1, if she goes to Da Nang City for medical examination and treatment, will she be entitled to receive social insurance in the right place and will she need to apply for a referral? How will she be paid for diseases requiring high technology?
Some workers wonder, for those over 75 years old who are receiving monthly death benefits, are they also eligible for retirement? If a worker has paid for 12 years but is not unemployed, will the payment period be recalculated from the beginning or what? If so, why not reserve it for the worker?...
Mr. Van Phu Quan - Deputy Director of Social Insurance Region 22 said that the amended Law has many changes to perfect the social insurance policy system to suit the changes of modern society, ensure the rights of workers and establish a solid social security system.
“In order for people to grasp the new contents of the Social Insurance Law 2024, the Social Insurance sector has developed a communication and propaganda plan, and organized integrated propaganda to the people. Along with that, the Social Insurance sector has developed and issued documents implementing social insurance, health insurance (HI), and unemployment insurance policies to the people, employers, and medical examination and treatment facilities in the area under its management,” said Mr. Quan.
The opinions and recommendations of the workers were answered and resolved by the Social Insurance of Region 22 and the Social Insurance of Thang Binh - Que Son district at the conference.
Mr. Chau Ngoc Quang - Head of Social Insurance Policy Department of Region 22 said: "In the past time, we have strongly implemented propaganda activities, answered questions, and consulted on insurance policies to all classes of people in the area to help everyone understand and agree to participate. This dialogue has also resolved many problems of workers related to transferring lines, withdrawing social insurance at one time, requiring additional conditions".
