Pleiku City supports 60,210 coffee seedlings for farmers to replant in 2025

(GLO)- From June 19 to 23, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Pleiku City coordinated with specialized units to support 60,210 coffee seedlings for farmers in the communes of Chu A, An Phu, Tra Da, Ia Kenh, Gao and the wards of Yen The, Bien Ho, Dong Da, Chi Lang, Dien Phu and Thong Nhat.

Each seedling costs 4,500 VND; of which, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. supports 1,000 VND/tree, people contribute 3,500 VND/tree. Pleiku City supports all transportation costs and organizes the distribution of seeds directly to households to ensure timely and correct delivery.

After providing seeds, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with the City Agricultural Service Center to send technical staff to monitor and guide the planting, care, and pest control processes; and at the same time, organize training to improve the efficiency of coffee replanting.

The program contributes to restoring old coffee areas, improving productivity, quality and income for people, towards sustainable agricultural development in the locality.
