10 Vietnamese representatives entered the world university rankings, of which 4 schools jumped 13-100 places compared to last year.

On June 19, QS announced the 2026 world university rankings. Vietnam has 10 representatives, an increase of four compared to last year.

Duy Tan University leads the way with 482nd place, up 13 places. It is followed by Ton Duc Thang University, up 27 places to 684th place.

Two national universities have made a leap forward. Of these, Hanoi National University is ranked in the 761-770 group, up 90 places. Only Hue University dropped in rank compared to last year, down to group 1,401+.

Placing a sign at the Historical Site of the Dan Chung Newspaper Headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City

At 43 Nguyen Thi Hong Gam, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to launch the National Historical Relic Signboard of the Dan Chung Newspaper Headquarters, which was also the headquarters of Le Peuple Newspaper of our Party at that time. The new signboard has a QR code attached to it providing more detailed information about the dossier for ranking this National Historical Relic.

The first issue of Dan Chung Newspaper was published on July 22, 1938, and was one of the newspapers that was born before the August Revolution in 1945 at 43 Hamelin Street, now 43 Nguyen Thi Hong Gam Street. At that time, the policy of this newspaper was to lead the Party's public press movement; it was a sharp weapon that encouraged and effectively supported the mass movement to fight for freedom, democracy, improve living conditions, fight against colonial reactionaries, fascism and war, leading to the birth of the Indochina Democratic Front.

On September 7, 1939, the French colonialists ordered the newspaper to close, confiscated all assets, and arrested the Editorial Board.

Thailand wins all titles in Southeast Asia

The Thai U19 women's team won the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship after defeating the Vietnamese U19 women's team 3-1 in the final match held at Thong Nhat Stadium.

This is Thailand's third championship at the tournament. As for Vietnam, this is the fourth consecutive final defeat, including three defeats to Thailand.

Not only did the Thai U19 women's team win the championship in Vietnam, they also won three individual titles.

With one goal scored in the final match, Kurisara Limpawanich won the title of "Top scorer" with 6 goals. Previously, Kurisara and captain Luu Hoang Van of the Vietnam U19 women's team both had 5 goals.

In addition, Kurisara Limpawanich also won the title of "Best Player" thanks to his excellent performance not only in the final match but also throughout the tournament.

Atima Boonprakanpai won the "Best Goalkeeper" title despite conceding 1 goal against Vietnam U19 women's team. In the whole tournament, Atima conceded 4 goals in 5 matches.

Previously, goalkeeper Le Thi Thu was a strong candidate when she did not concede any goals from the group stage to the semi-finals. However, conceding 3 goals against Thailand U19 women in the final match forced Le Thi Thu to watch Atima Boonprakanpai win the title.

Russia loses more than $1 billion due to IT-related crimes

Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Danil Filippov said that information technology-related crimes in the country caused losses of more than 81 billion rubles (about 1.03 billion USD) in just the first five months of this year.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Mr. Filippov emphasized that there were more than 308,000 cases of crime related to the information technology sector during this period, of which more than 189,000 cases involved remote theft and fraud.

Authorities have frozen about 16 billion rubles linked to cybercrime since the beginning of the year.

Butterflies use the stars to navigate their 1,000 km migration route.

Every spring, millions of tiny bogong moths (Agrotis infusa) in Australia make a 1,000 km journey from the plains to the cool mountain caves of the Southeast to escape the heat.

Four months later, they fly back to the northwest—a week-long round trip, made at night, with brains the size of a tenth of a grain of rice.

A study published in the journal Nature confirms that this butterfly navigates by using the starry sky of the Milky Way – an ability previously only observed in humans and some migratory birds. This is the first time scientists have discovered this behavior in insects and invertebrates.
