New developments in the case of sending children to 'American schools', unexpectedly it is just an English center

On November 25, after the article "Let your child study abroad on-site" at an "American school", unexpectedly it was just an English center posted on Tuoi Tre Online , the reporter received a video recording the scene of a parent coming to Thien Lap Nhan English Center to demand their child's transcript.

Commitment to transcript

Xuan Ha Ward Police, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City confirmed that the incident in the video took place on the evening of November 22, at 617 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street. This is one of the facilities of Thien Lap Nhan English Center.

In the video, there are at least two people claiming to be parents coming to demand their children's transcripts. At this time, a meeting was taking place with many parents and leaders of Thien Lap Nhan English Center.

“I need my child’s transcript. My child has studied here for 2 years, why doesn’t he have a transcript?”, a parent asked.

Ms. T., an employee of Thien Lap Nhan English Center, said: "I promise to have a transcript" and asked the above parent to stay calm.

The parent said: “You are so calm, why do you keep saying it has nothing to do with Prinberk School?”

Mrs. T. said: "Okay, I promise you."

The parent then walked straight into the parent-teacher conference and continued to demand the report card.

Police confirmed that there was no disorder, just parents coming to the center to request their children's transcripts.

One of the two parents said that she came to ask the “school” Prinberk Academy to provide her child’s transcript because the “school” had promised too long. Her child needed the transcript to apply to a new school but did not have it.

Inconsistent response center?

It is worth mentioning that previously, Ms. T. appeared in the above video, authorized by the director of Thien Lap Nhan English Center, saying that “Prinberk Academy is just one of the online reference programs that the center recommends for parents to register their children to study at home. If you have any problems, ask the center's teachers for help the next day. The center only teaches English to children.”

Meanwhile, this same person in the video above affirmed to parents that he "committed to having a transcript".

Regarding the video content, the center director and Ms. T. refused to answer further.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , some parents in Da Nang City reported that they sent their children to study “on-site” at the “American school” Prinberk Academy at the facilities of Thien Lap Nhan English Center. They were shocked to learn that this center is only licensed to teach English. The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City is verifying the incident.

The Prinberk Academy website clearly states that Prinberk Academy is an online private school. The Prinberk Academy fanpage introduces it as “a system of homeschool study groups following American educational methods and goals”. Prinberk Academy currently has many study groups in many provinces and cities in Vietnam. Parents still call these groups “schools”.
