Trieu An and Xuan Van in The Heir's Secret
According to director Vo Hong Loan (who directed the films: Joking with love, Nha la tet, Cong thuc cua nang e... ), the issue of inheritance is an attractive topic for her as she has heard and read a lot recently. "It is quite realistic in today's society, when money and status can overwhelm love and affection and people can disregard everything to achieve what they want", said the female director born in 1981. However, she still hopes and believes that there will be many people who live fully with love. That is also the message she wants to convey when making the film Secret of the Heir .

Regarding the actors participating in the film, director Vo Hong Loan shared that, besides choosing veteran actors (like Khanh Huyen, Than Thuy Ha, Huynh Anh Tuan, Tung Yuki...) to ensure ratings, she still highly values the actors' suitability for the role. "For example, I chose actor Trieu An for the male lead role Vincent and Xuan Van for the role of Van or Thu Bi for the role of Anh Dao - you are not too famous but I found you very suitable for the role," she said.
The main setting of The Heirs is Da Lat. The film was recorded live, so in addition to being suitable for the role, the director said she chose actors who had good diction and the ability to learn the lines well (no prompting during filming) to achieve the most realistic emotions of the characters.
