This morning, July 30, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel work. At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Head of Department of Locality 1, Central Organization Committee, announced Decision No. 1391-QDNS/TW of the Secretariat on personnel work for Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

According to this decision, Mr. Tran Duy Dong ceased to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment and was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Tran Duy Dong, 45 years old, from Ha Trung District, Thanh Hoa, is a former student of K39 of the National Economics University. He has a master's degree in public policy in Japan and 2 bachelor's degrees in investment economics and English, and a doctorate in economics from a domestic university.

Mr. Tran Dong started working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2002 as a specialist in the Department of Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones Management (now the Department of Economic Zones Management). In 2014, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed as Director of the Department of Economic Zones Management. In November 2018, he was appointed as Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy.
Since May 2020, Mr. Tran Duy Dong has been assigned to concurrently hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Management Board of the National Innovation Center. On October 2, 2020, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
