According to the schedule announced by the Roland Garros organizers, tennis player Novak Djokovic will face Filip Misolic (Austria) at 8:15 p.m. Paris time. Thus, Djokovic's suggestions that he wanted to play early to watch the Champions League final between PSG and Inter Milan were ignored by the Roland Garros organizers.
The Champions League final will take place at 9pm (Paris time) in Munich, Germany.
On May 29, Djokovic hinted that he wanted to play early in the third round of Roland Garros to watch the Champions League final: "I will cheer for PSG. I would definitely watch this match if it wasn't played in the evening. Yes, that would be great."
A day later, former tennis player Amelie Mauresmo made a statement that implied she wanted to respond to Djokovic. Mauresmo said: "Even though there is a Champions League final, that doesn't change Roland Garros much."
Mauresmo said 15,000 people are expected to attend Roland Garros on May 31, despite all the attention in Paris being focused on the Champions League final. Djokovic was not able to meet the demand because he is the tournament's top player, so he had to play in the tournament's prime time to serve the audience.
So to have enough time to watch the Champions League final, Djokovic must quickly defeat Misolic.
