FUTA Bus Lines arranges a total of 10 vehicles including 4 45-seat buses and 6 16-seat buses, all of which are 2025 models and have licenses, modern equipment that meets passenger transport standards.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, in the first 18 days of implementation, a total of 5,090 trips were organized, including 2,772 trips from Binh Duong and 2,318 trips from Ba Ria - Vung Tau . In the week from July 14-18 alone, the number of people using the service doubled compared to the previous week.
Free bus routes will be put into operation from July 1, with specific routes:
Binh Duong route starts from the Provincial Administrative Center and ends at Saigon Bus Station.
The Ba Ria - Vung Tau route departs from Co.opmart Vung Tau, passes through the Provincial Administrative Center, and ends at Saigon Bus Station.
Users only need to present their civil servant/public employee card to board the bus. Registration is conveniently done via the Zalo application, grouped by agency and locality. Currently, there are 682 people registered for the Binh Duong route, 578 people registered for the Ba Ria - Vung Tau route and about 500 other members from local Party and tax agencies.
An online survey with 275 responses showed that more than 92% of participants rated their satisfaction level from quite to very satisfied, noting good service quality, modern facilities, free Wifi, drinking water, and cold towels.
To continue improving service efficiency, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction will coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to survey actual needs, establish a fixed plan and deploy software to support users in registering, tracking their journeys and receiving schedule notifications. At the same time, receiving user feedback will be maintained regularly.
Previously, on June 30, the Public Transport Management Center (under the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City) issued a document implementing a plan to organize free transportation for civil servants at Party and State agencies, socio -political organizations and public service units in the area. After a field survey and working with transport units, Phuong Trang Company was selected to sponsor the first phase with a commitment to provide free transportation for 3 months from July 1, 2025, or until there is an official supplier.
