Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Hong Dien, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade ; Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade: Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan; Phan Thi Thang; Truong Thanh Hoai and representatives of departments and functional units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. On the side of Ninh Thuan province, there were comrades: Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of relevant departments and branches.
Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Ninh Thuan province reported on the operation of investment projects, potentials and advantages in developing energy and renewable energy of the province. Accordingly, the plans established include: Onshore wind power with potential development by 2030 of more than 1,429MW; coastal wind power with potential development by 2030 of about 4,380MW; offshore wind power with potential development of 21,000MW, by 2030 of about 2,000MW; solar power with potential development by 2030 of about 8,448MW; LNG gas power with potential development of 6,000MW, by 2030 of 1,500MW; pumped storage hydropower with potential development of 7,000MW, by 2030 of 2,400MW; Rooftop solar power has the potential to develop more than 149MW, by 2030 it will develop 21MW... Up to now, Ninh Thuan province has put into commercial operation 57 projects with power sources (solar power, wind power, hydropower) with a total capacity of 3,749.942 MW. Thereby, it has contributed to ensuring national energy security, promoting land use efficiency, shifting the economic structure of the province, solving employment, social security and making a large contribution to the provincial budget.

In addition, the leaders of Ninh Thuan province also proposed that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade consider directing the Ministry of Industry and Trade to request the Vietnam Electricity Group to unify the boundaries and locations of the project implementation according to the scope and boundaries of the project investment decision and according to the opinion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Official Dispatch No. 4615/BCT-DL dated July 14, 2023 to make electricity payment. Consider updating concentrated solar power projects in Ninh Thuan province to the List of adjustments and supplements to the Plan for implementing the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Direct the Ministry of Industry and Trade to adjust the operation period from 2026-2030 for the 93MW capacity of the projects to the operation period 2023-2025 for submission to the Prime Minister for approval. Consider continuing to implement the Plan for implementing the planning for wind power projects according to Decision No. 262/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2024 of the Prime Minister. Pay attention to reviewing and updating and transferring projects in the adjusted Power Plan VII to Power Plan VIII, promptly promulgating the policy mechanism for wind power prices; pumped storage hydropower; issuing a decree guiding the development of rooftop solar power; issuing regulations on offshore wind power development and hydrogen production for localities to use as a basis for implementation. Consider the proposal to build an inter-regional Renewable Energy Service and Industry Center in Ninh Thuan, contributing to realizing the Government's policy on developing Ninh Thuan province into a renewable energy center of the country according to Resolution No. 115/NQ-CP dated August 31, 2018 of the Government.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien acknowledged and highly appreciated Ninh Thuan province for its proactive implementation of projects on minerals and renewable energy and its efforts to flexibly and effectively manage socio-economic development. He emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Trade always supports Ninh Thuan to become one of the centers specializing in renewable energy services. In the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will actively coordinate with central ministries and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles so that the province can proactively implement the VIII Power Plan.
