The temple was built in the 15th century to commemorate the merit of Princess Nhoi Hoa of Laos, who brought elephants to help Dai Viet fight the enemy. Over the centuries, the temple has been preserved and restored by the local people, becoming a beautiful cultural symbol of the steadfast and loyal friendship between Vietnam and Laos throughout history.
