- Continuing the working program in Italy, on May 9 and 10, 2024, the delegation of Lang Son province (Vietnam) led by Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked in Rimini province, Italy; visited and worked with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Italy.

During the working program with the leaders of Rimini province and Rimini city, the Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee discussed with the Governor of Rimini province and Chairman of Rimini City Council, Italy about the socio -economic development situation, potential for industrial development, tourism and agriculture and forestry of the province...; proposed the leaders of Rimini province and city to continue supporting Lang Son province to connect with businesses of Rimini province and the region, especially in the fields of preservation, classification, processing, import of agricultural products, as well as promoting and attracting potential investors and businesses to invest in Lang Son province. At the same time, he shared and exchanged experiences and effective models of Rimini province in supporting agricultural development, tourism and environmental protection...

It is known that Rimini is a province in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy (a region with strengths and many large enterprises in the agricultural sector of Italy), in which the city of Rimini is the capital of the province. Rimini is a city with many ancient architectural and cultural works that are preserved and promoted and is a locality chosen by the European Union to support a point in environmental protection and sustainable development.

On May 10, the delegation of Lang Son province worked with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Italy.

Here, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully thanked Ambassador Duong Hai Hung and the Embassy staff for creating favorable conditions to support Lang Son province to attend the Macfrut 2024 International Agricultural Fair and connecting the provincial delegation to have a practical and effective working program with localities, organizations and Italian enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung sincerely thanked Lang Son province for responding to the Embassy's invitation to attend the Marfrut 2024 International Agricultural Fair, Italy and participating in displaying the Vietnamese booth at the Fair. The Ambassador emphasized that this is an opportunity for Lang Son province to promote the province's potential strengths, at the same time, introduce to businesses from Italy and other countries around the world the image and typical agricultural products of the province, creating conditions for localities and businesses to have the opportunity to exchange and discuss cooperation, investment and business. The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy is ready to continue to support information and connection, coordinate with Lang Son province to strengthen cooperation exchange activities, investment promotion in Italy and related international partners.

The Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee shared: During this working trip to Italy, Lang Son province wishes to grasp information about the Italian market, learn experiences in urban management, tourism, cooperation and support programs abroad, and the need for cooperation on some agricultural products of the province, especially Star Anise and Cinnamon products, thereby connecting to export agricultural products of the province to Italy. At the same time, the province also wishes to cooperate in transferring agricultural processing technology and calling on Italian enterprises to invest in agricultural processing in Lang Son province.
