Delegation of Fujian province, China visited and worked in Quang Ninh

On September 17, Comrade Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session with a delegation from Fujian Province, China led by Comrade Tran Dong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial People's Congress. Quang Ninh and Fujian provinces will strengthen and promote local cooperation.

Quang Ninh has effectively implemented the important common perceptions reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and States in strengthening and promoting cooperation with localities and partners of China in general and Fujian in particular. The two provinces regularly maintain high-level communication channels, constantly strive to promote trade and investment cooperation, and have carried out many cultural and tourism exchange and cooperation activities...

The visit of Comrade Tran Dong and the Fujian Provincial Delegation to Quang Ninh affirmed the importance of promoting friendly cooperation; is a practical activity to contribute to further deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and promoting the building of a "Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance" from the local level.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed the delegation of Fujian province about the socio-economic development results of the province; the distinct potentials, outstanding opportunities, and the most competitive comparative advantages such as owning an airport, highway, specialized port, located in a favorable geographical location, a regional connection center, and inter-regional and international freight transit.

Quang Ninh is the only locality in the country that shares a land and sea border with China, so the province pays special attention to consolidating and developing comprehensive cooperation with Chinese localities, implementing many modern and convenient connecting traffic projects; having many preferential mechanisms and policies, which are important conditions to promote investment attraction.

Quang Ninh province is always ready to work with Fujian province to effectively implement the Joint Statements, important agreements and common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries; actively contributing to deepening and elevating the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, clarified some contents of exchange and cooperation in various fields between Quang Ninh - Fujian.

At the same time, a number of specific measures were agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation in such areas as: maintaining and enhancing friendly exchanges and people-to-people exchanges to further deepen the friendship; promoting trade and investment cooperation, sharing experiences in building and developing economic zones; jointly studying and promoting transport connectivity, first of all opening a direct flight route from Van Don, Quang Ninh to international airports in Fujian and restoring the sea route between Ha Long and Xiamen; focusing on developing tourism cooperation, strengthening cooperation in the fields ofeducation and training...

He sympathized with the losses of the province after storm No. 3, expressed his respect for the resilient people and believed that Quang Ninh would quickly overcome the consequences of the storm to recover and develop more strongly.
