Joining the club helps Nghi Son town veterans develop their economy effectively.
Under the direct guidance of the Association of War Veterans in Vinh Hung Commune (Vinh Loc), in 2020, the "War Veterans Help Each Other Develop the Economy" Club in Vinh Hung Commune was established with the aim of strengthening solidarity between war veterans who are owners of businesses, farms, and households... To operate effectively, every quarter, club members maintain regular activities to exchange business knowledge, market information, production organization experience, and support each other to develop together. Each member participating in the club contributes 5 million VND/quarter to lend each other to develop the economy. Most members participating in the club are doing business effectively. The members of the club choose their own direction in economic development, but all have in common the determination and will to rise up to build a prosperous life. The establishment and results of the club's activities are highly appreciated by the local Party Committee and government because in addition to creating jobs for many workers, the members of the club also actively contribute to the economic development of the locality, especially in contributing to the construction of new rural areas and humanitarian and charitable activities.
With the spirit of daring to think and dare to do, in 2018, the club "War veterans help each other develop the economy" in Dong Son ward (Bim Son town) was established. Depending on the time, he has replaced many different types of crops and livestock such as abandoning sugarcane to grow dragon fruit, sapodilla, peach, abandoning porcupines to raise wild boars, pigs for meat, abandoning fish to raise geese combined with growing fruit trees... to generate higher income. With diligence, hard work and sharing of experiences and capital from club members, his family's economic model has always been stable, maintaining from 300 - 500 million VND, creating seasonal jobs for many local workers.
Mr. Le Van Thong, Chairman of the Bim Son Town War Veterans Association, said: “In order to create solidarity and mutual assistance among members, the Bim Son Town War Veterans Association has directed the association’s grassroots units to establish 7 clubs “War Veterans help each other develop the economy” in 7 wards and communes. From 100 initial members, up to now, the 7 clubs have attracted more than 400 members. After a period of operation, the wards and communes have organized a preliminary and final review of the clubs’ activities with many encouraging achievements and results, creating a remarkable mark in implementing the emulation movement “War Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business in the town”.
Helping each other to do good business, many members of the War Veterans Association in Nghi Son town have joined together to establish clubs called "War Veterans help each other develop the economy" to help each other with capital, production and business experience, product consumption markets, and build a chain of links in the production of goods. After evaluating the preliminary results of the model, the Provincial Association of War Veterans directed all levels of the War Veterans Association to replicate it throughout the province. To date, the province has established 268 clubs in 26 districts, towns and city associations. The establishment of the clubs has aroused comradeship, promoted the will and diverse potential of generations of war veterans, and mobilized many resources for economic development. With many creative and effective ways, the clubs have contributed to the successful implementation of the targets and tasks of the War Veterans Association and the locality.
