Tuyen Quang has 138 communes, wards and towns, including 121 commune-level administrative units in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. In 2024, the whole province will have 900,000 people, of which ethnic minorities account for nearly 58%. Currently, there are 3 religions in the province: Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism with over 55,000 followers.

Religious activities and the religious situation in ethnic minority areas in the province are basically stable; religious dignitaries, officials, monks and nuns and followers of religions comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

In recent years, the province has focused on leading and effectively implementing the Party and Government's policies for ethnic minorities; the projects and resolutions of the Provincial Party Committee on socio -economic issues; the appearance of rural areas, ethnic minority areas, and religious areas have changed significantly; poverty reduction has achieved many results.

In 2023, the rate of poor ethnic minority households will decrease by over 4%, housing support will be completed for 679/679 households, investment in the construction of 7 centralized clean water works will be made, reaching 100% of the plan...

At the meeting, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved and solutions to improve the effectiveness of ethnic and religious work; the issue of training and arranging the use of ethnic minority cadres; solutions to accelerate poverty reduction in ethnic minority areas; building great national unity and religious unity...

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the survey delegation of Steering Committee 354, highly appreciated the results achieved, the attention and care of the Party Committee and the government of Tuyen Quang province for the ethnic minority areas as well as ethnic and religious work in the area. He also requested the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches and localities in the province to continue to pay attention and more effectively implement programs and projects for economic and social development in the province; strengthen the great national unity bloc, religious unity, and build the homeland to develop more and more.

The delegation noted the recommendations and proposals of the province to synthesize and report to the Central Government for adjustments in directing the development of policy mechanisms, in order to promote the effectiveness of ethnic and religious work in the coming time.
