Da Nang City Leadership Delegation works with Incheon Free Economic Zone Management Board

On the morning of July 9, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang and several members of the working delegation had a working session with the Management Board of Incheon Free Economic Zone.

At the meeting, Head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Management Board Yun Won Sok happily welcomed the delegation, congratulated and highly appreciated the Da Nang free trade zone when it was formed, it would bring great benefits to Da Nang city as well as Vietnam, wished the Da Nang free trade zone would soon be successful like the Incheon economic zone; hoped to have the opportunity to approach and support each other to develop in Da Nang city. Mr. Yun Won Sok also informed the delegation about the situation in the Incheon free economic zone. The development of the free economic zone has great support and impact from the Korean Government . Foreign investors in the Incheon free economic zone will receive special attention and support in terms of policies.

Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang sincerely thanked the Head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Management Board Yun Won Sok for taking the time to welcome the delegation. At the same time, he introduced the city's development orientation and goals, including the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. According to the Secretary of the Party Committee, many neighboring countries of Vietnam have successfully developed the Free Trade Zone model such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, China, etc. Through the experience of developing free trade zone models of countries around the world, Da Nang has proposed and the National Assembly has approved the pilot establishment of a Free Trade Zone in Da Nang city with policy mechanisms aimed at attracting investment, finance, trade, tourism and high-quality services. The Da Nang Free Trade Zone is expected to include a production zone, logistics center, trade - service zone and other types of functional zones according to the law. In the coming time, to develop a plan to implement the establishment of the Free Trade Zone, the city is eager to share Korea's experience related to the model and operation of the Incheon Free Economic Zone; preferential policies (attracting investment, taxes and other policies, etc.); experience in the operation and management of the free economic zone.
