Not only making positive contributions to Cambodia's
socio -economy, Vietnamese enterprises investing and doing business in Cambodia also contribute to stabilizing social security for the local community through scholarship programs, building schools, clinics, roads, resettlement houses, etc. These are also activities that contribute to strengthening the good traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Receiving this scholarship, Chem Chakreya, a medical student at
Tra Vinh University, said: I will focus on studying to complete the program, not letting down the attention of the sponsoring agencies and units.

According to Mr. Cao Manh Duc, General Director of Metfone, the support is not much, but he hopes that this support will contribute positively to helping students spread their wings and fly higher and further in the journey ahead. The company representative also said that they will continue to provide long-term support, creating opportunities for Cambodian students studying suitable majors in Vietnam to work at the company after graduation, creating conditions for them to demonstrate their abilities and best develop their professional knowledge. According to Metfone's commitment, in the period of 2022-2025, each year this company will grant 10 scholarships, worth 160 USD/month/person, to students in difficult circumstances to study at universities in Vietnam. Previously, sharing with the press, Metfone's General Director at that time, Mr. Phung Van Cuong, said: In 16 years of presence and 13 years of doing business in Cambodia, Metfone has always fulfilled its responsibilities as a large enterprise from Vietnam. Metfone is one of the enterprises that has contributed the most to the Cambodian government's budget with a cumulative amount of 820 million USD. In addition, Metfone also carries out many social activities such as: contributing to the Red Cross; supporting technology industries; sponsoring Cambodian football; community and social support activities with a cumulative amount of 100 million USD, continuing to contribute an average of 8-10 million USD each year. In particular, Metfone also consults, supports and accompanies the Cambodian government, businesses and people in applying
digital technologies and digital solutions to serve all social activities. In recognition of Metfone's contributions to the community, on February 16, 2023, in Phnom Penh, Metfone Company was honored to receive the Royal Medal of the Kingdom of Cambodia awarded by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Angkor Milk Company Limited (Angkormilk), a 100% owned subsidiary of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (
Vinamilk ), invested in building the first modern dairy factory in Cambodia in 2014 and is supplying many nutritional products to this market. In November 2022, Angkormilk announced that it would increase the total investment capital for projects in Cambodia to 42 million USD, equivalent to nearly 1,100 billion VND. In addition, the company also plans to build a dairy farm with a raw milk output of over 4,000 tons/year. In 2021, when the Covid-19 epidemic in Cambodia was still complicated, Angkormilk gave 1,000 cartons of milk to representatives of the Phnom Penh government to support people and children in the "red zones" that are being isolated and locked down. Along with Metfone and Angkormilk, many
Vietnamese enterprises have continuously grown strongly in scale, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country of pagodas such as: Rubber Company under the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), Tharico Company under the Truong Hai Group;

In particular, Vietnamese enterprises and enterprises owned by Khmer people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia have coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia to promote many programs and create tens of thousands of jobs, increase income for overseas Vietnamese and poor Cambodians in agricultural projects, and support the Cambodian Government to reduce poverty in remote rural areas. At the 2023 Meeting of Vietnamese Enterprises and Khmer Enterprises of Vietnamese Origin in Cambodia held in February 2023, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Club in Cambodia (VBCC) Nguyen Thanh Dung said: Vietnam is currently the third largest trading partner of Cambodia, after the US and China. Cambodia ranks second among 79 countries and territories where Vietnam has invested abroad. In recent years, the Vietnamese business community in Cambodia has made many contributions to Cambodia's social security activities, building many infrastructures, creating jobs for thousands of local workers, and has been highly appreciated by the Cambodian Government and people. "What Vietnamese businesses are always proud of is their profitable business activities, fully fulfilling their tax obligations to the Cambodian Government, and making an important contribution to the annual economic development targets of the Kingdom of Cambodia. In addition to generating profits, businesses have contributed more than 120 million USD to social security in Cambodia," Mr. Dung informed. With the achieved results, businesses have demonstrated their role, courage, and sense of responsibility in the economic development relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam, deserving to be a bridge for economic relations between the two countries.
