According to observations by a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper, in the area selling phalaenopsis orchids on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, Vinh city, Nghe An province, many stalls are displaying phalaenopsis orchids in mother-of-pearl inlaid dragon-shaped pots, attracting visitors.

Mr. Duong Linh (from Hanoi ) shared: "During Tet holidays when I returned to my hometown, I saw mother-of-pearl inlay patterns on my grandparents' tea cabinets. That's when I realized the exquisite combination of art and Vietnamese tradition. From then on, I decided to turn my passion into reality by creating mother-of-pearl inlaid flower pots, to preserve and spread the beauty of Vietnamese culture."

According to Mr. Linh, each mother-of-pearl inlaid pot expresses emotions, memories, wishes, and folk traditions. These flower pots are a connection between tradition and modernity, bringing the story of Vietnamese culture closer to everyone.
"This year, I've brought to Vinh City many unique pots inlaid with images of dragons, phoenixes, horses galloping to success, sailing smoothly, returning home in glory, etc., hoping to bring orchid enthusiasts a complete and prosperous Tet holiday," Linh further shared.

Mr. Linh added that his business regularly sources orchids from Da Lat for distribution throughout the country. However, this year the flower market in Da Lat is booming, practically experiencing a "shortage" due to the limited supply compared to previous years.

Popular "hot" colors include cherry, pink, and various mutated flower colors.
These days the weather is cold and rainy, so people are slow in preparing for Tet (Lunar New Year).

"This year, my establishment has invited artisans from Ho Chi Minh City to come to Vinh City to create unique and artistic orchid products for customers to choose from," Linh shared.

According to Mr. Linh, mother-of-pearl inlaid orchid pots are made of high-quality composite material and are very popular, so he hopes to export these models.
