Here, officers of the Waterway Traffic Police Team checked the drivers' licenses and documents related to inland waterway vehicles, and measured the alcohol and drug levels of the drivers who were transporting and picking up guests attending the Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 event taking place on Tri Nguyen Island (Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City). The inspection was to ensure that the vehicles participating in transporting passengers met the required conditions and that the drivers did not use stimulants while carrying passengers. On the evenings of June 17 (semi-final night) and June 21 (final night), the Waterway Traffic Police Team will assign officers to be on duty at Nha Trang Tourist Wharf to ensure absolute safety for the transport of guests attending this event.

It is known that Tri Nguyen - Nha Trang Tourism Company Limited (the event organizer) has arranged 30 inland waterway vehicles to pick up and drop off guests attending the Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 event along the route of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf - 2 inland waterway wharves on Tri Nguyen Island and vice versa. The semi-final night took place on the evening of June 17 with about 1,500 guests; the final night is expected to take place on the evening of June 21 with about 3,000 guests. This is the first time the province has organized a major event, requiring the pick up and drop off of a large number of guests from the mainland to the island and vice versa at night, so the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches and units have come up with a specific and detailed plan to ensure absolute safety for passengers.
