Lung Tam linen weaving cooperative, Lung Tam commune introduces products to tourists at the product promotion and introduction fair. |
Instead of only reaching traditional customer files, now through a smartphone, peanut oil products of Dong Yen Peanut Oil Agricultural Cooperative, Dong Yen commune have been delivered to provinces and cities across the country. This is one of the livelihood models applying 4.0 technology in production and market connection implemented under Project 8. Ms. Mac Thi Mien, Dong Yen Peanut Oil Agricultural Cooperative, Dong Yen commune said: “Previously, we just waited for traders to come and buy directly. When participating in the project, cooperative members were trained and provided with knowledge on product quality management, creating QR codes to trace the origin, product packaging labels, and support to participate in e-commerce platforms and sell online. We were guided to put products on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, PostMart and approach digital transformation to promote and develop products. After applying in practice, it has helped the cooperative's products become more and more famous, and the output is easier than before".
According to statistics, from the beginning of 2021 to now, the association at all levels has supported 52 livelihood groups, cooperatives, and cooperatives owned/co-owned by women to apply 4.0 technology in production and connecting product consumption; organized 55 training conferences for 1,700 participants on supporting the application of science and technology 4.0 to enhance economic empowerment for livelihood groups and groups. After being supported, livelihood groups, cooperatives, and cooperatives have applied knowledge into practice and brought about efficiency. At the same time, jobs have been created, helping many members increase their income; many collectives and individuals have been commended by competent authorities such as: Lung Thi Xa Business Household, Xuan Giang Commune; Vinh Hoa Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative, Binh An Commune; Quoc Dai General Service Cooperative, Ha Giang 2 Ward; Hong Phat Organic Agricultural Cooperative, Kim Binh Commune; Hoang Thuc Agricultural and Service Cooperative, Yen Nguyen Commune, etc.
Ms. Pham Thi Hong, Director of Hong Phat Organic Agriculture Cooperative, Kim Binh Commune, shared: “ Farming is difficult and it is not easy for women to do organic farming . This is a very strict process from production, processing, and preservation to strictly comply with standards. Therefore, when receiving support from all levels and sectors, especially programs and projects of the Women's Union at all levels, I have boldly developed products. In particular, the cooperative's green bean black tea bag product achieved 4-star OCOP in 2021 and in 2022 was recognized by the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province as a typical rural industrial product of the province. Currently, the cooperative creates jobs for 6 workers at the factory, with a salary of 6 - 8 million VND/person/month. On average, the cooperative sells 5 to 8 thousand products per month; revenue is over 4 billion VND/year.
According to the leaders of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Women's Union, in the areas where Project 8 is implemented, women's cadres always have a firm grasp of the area, carefully survey, learn about the reality to see which models and livelihood groups are suitable, then closely follow and mobilize members to implement them. After the livelihood groups are formed and the production process is stable, women's cadres accompany and guide members to promote products on e-commerce platforms; support bringing products to participate in fairs and promotional events in localities. Production and consumption of products are promoted, the income of members and members in the groups and livelihood groups is increased... from the models, many women members have taken control of their lives and strived to become rich sustainably.
With the support and companionship of the Women's Union at all levels in the province, the coordination of departments and branches in implementation, Project 8 has achieved positive results; the models not only help increase income and create jobs for members but also contribute to promoting digital transformation in agriculture, spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the women's community.
