Towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 12, comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts to Duy Tien War Invalids Nursing Center and meritorious people in Duy Tien town. Accompanying him were Colonel To Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; representatives of a number of departments, branches, and leaders of Duy Tien town.
Established in May 1957, over the past 67 years, Duy Tien War Invalids Nursing Center has received, managed, treated, cared for, and rehabilitated over 1,000 severely wounded soldiers, with a labor capacity loss rate of 81% or more. Currently, the center is caring for and caring for 75 wounded soldiers from 13 provinces and cities across the country. Most of the wounded soldiers have special spinal diseases, are almost unable to move on their own, and are completely dependent on wheelchairs and the help of others.
Speaking at Duy Tien War Invalids Nursing Center, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy sent his warm regards and expressed his deep gratitude to the wounded soldiers, martyrs' relatives, and families of meritorious people who have made great contributions to the cause of fighting for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland.
At the same time, he expressed his wish that the wounded soldiers always maintain their health, continue to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the spirit of "Wounded soldiers are disabled but not useless", continue to contribute, and mobilize relatives and people to participate in contributing and building the homeland.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged and commended the efforts of the center's staff, civil servants and workers in overcoming difficulties to take good care of war invalids. At the same time, he requested the unit to continue to do a good job in treatment, rehabilitation, and caring for war invalids to stabilize their health, ensure nutrition, and improve their physical condition; fully and promptly implement the Party and State's policies and regulations, so that this place can truly be a common home for war invalids.
Next, visiting and presenting gifts to the family of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chinh (Ngo Tan Residential Group, Tien Noi Ward, Duy Tien Town), the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the delegation kindly inquired about her health and encouraged her to live happily and healthily; at the same time, requested the government and mass organizations of Duy Tien Town to pay more attention and do better work for war invalids and martyrs; and take good care of the lives of people with meritorious services.
