Energizing the 500kV 3-circuit line project, Quynh Luu-Thanh Hoa section

The 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project invested by EVNNPT helps improve transmission capacity on the North-Central interface.

At 11:10 a.m. on August 19, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units to energize the 500kV line project, circuit 3, Quynh Luu-Thanh Hoa section, meeting the target of the Prime Minister 's direction.

The Quynh Luu-Thanh Hoa 500kV transmission line project is invested by EVNNPT, managed and operated by CPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 1.

The project is 92km long, passing through Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces. The project has 200 foundation locations, with 99 corridor anchorages.

The project was implemented from January 18, 2024 and was approved by the Investor's Acceptance Council to be energized on the morning of August 19, 2024.

Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the line must be completed to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Once completed, the project will help reduce the load and avoid overloading of existing 500kV lines.

The line also helps to improve transmission capacity on the North-Central interface, combined with the 500kV Quang Trach-Quynh Luu, Thanh Hoa-Nam Dinh I, Nam Dinh I-Pho Noi lines, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.

EVNNPT Deputy General Director Truong Huu Thanh said that during the implementation process, the Project always received attention and direction from the Prime Minister, ministries, branches, and leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group.

Along with that is the support of the authorities at all levels where the project passes through, the consensus and joint efforts of the people who gave up land for the project, and participated in supporting the construction of the foundation excavation phase.

According to EVNNPT leaders, besides favorable factors, the project implementation process encountered many difficulties when the power line passed through many high mountainous areas, many locations were in the forest, and there were locations where the foundation had to dig a very large amount of rock.

Along with that, the volume of steel columns is very large while the progress is required in a short time, EVNNPT together with CPMB and contractors have made efforts to focus on production, implementing specific solutions to speed up the production progress.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction with the spirit of "only discussing work, no retreating", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to the storm", working "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", engineers and workers of the units participating in the Project have worked with the highest spirit and responsibility to bring the Project to the finish line on time.

EVNNPT leaders said that in order to meet the progress requirements directed by the Prime Minister, in a short period of time, many work items were deployed simultaneously such as construction and installation, pole erection, wire pulling, positioning frame installation, and technical calibration.

Therefore, in addition to the main force of EVNNPT units and construction contractors, EVN has mobilized 5 Power Corporations to participate in construction support with a large number of qualified, experienced and skilled human resources.

With the importance of the Project, not only for EVNNPT, EVN's Power units and other units have shown high spirit and responsibility by participating in enthusiastic support, making great efforts, not afraid of difficulties and hardships.

Along with that, EVN also received construction human resource support from Military Region 3, Military Region 4, Viettel Group, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group... to participate in supporting the construction of poles and pulling wires for the Projects.

The completion and energization of the project meeting the Prime Minister's direction is a great motivation for the entire construction site of the 500kV line 3 project to complete acceptance and inauguration in the coming days according to the Prime Minister's direction./.
