The conference aims to evaluate the results of scientific research activities of students; encourage students to actively participate in scientific research; promote creative thinking capacity, practice independent scientific research skills or teamwork of students; at the same time, select typical and quality works to commend and reward and participate in science and technology awards organized by superiors.

According to the Director of the Military Medical Academy, Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Tran Viet Tien, in 2024, the youth of the Military Medical Academy won many awards and high achievements in conferences and scientific awards at the ministerial, industry and national levels such as: The 23rd Youth Science and Technology Conference in the health sector won 3 excellent prizes, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes.

The Academy and Military Hospital 103 were also awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Health ; participated in the 25th Creative Youth Award in the Army and won 1 first prize, 4 second prizes, 1 third prize and 6 consolation prizes...

Scientific research activities have helped young people develop their intelligence, creativity, ability to approach and gradually master science and technology in their working positions; scientific research also helps students have scientific thinking methods and working styles, which is the basis for improving their professional qualifications and working capacity, contributing practically to improving the quality of training, treatment and scientific research of the Military Medical Academy.

Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Tran Viet Tien said that in order to further improve the quality and effectiveness of scientific research tasks, so that the topics and initiatives of students have modern and substantial content, knowledge, methods, and research thinking, the Party committees, commanders of agencies, units, and scientific officers need to pay more attention to leadership, direction, and create more favorable conditions so that the scientific research tasks of students are maintained regularly, truly in-depth, practical, and effective.

On the other hand, for the teaching staff, in addition to caring, guiding, and imparting knowledge to the young generation, it is necessary to create conditions for students to develop their intelligence, have independent thinking, and be creative in scientific research, and build a team of real scientific staff.

In addition to the basic knowledge acquired during the learning process, students need to actively approach new scientific research and new technologies, expand their knowledge to not only become outstanding doctors and military physicians, but also good scientific researchers, actively contributing to the cause of health care for soldiers and people.

At the conference, 95 research topics were presented in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical sciences and other fields within the training scope of the Academy with eight evaluation panels consisting of 48 scientists with extensive experience in the Academy's research fields.

After reporting, the topic groups received many comments as well as objective and scientific assessments from the Jury, thereby improving and enhancing the quality of scientific research as well as the skills and abilities of presenting scientific reports of the students in the academy.

On this occasion, the Director of the Military Medical Academy awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 first prize winning projects, 8 second prize winning projects and 16 third prize winning projects.
