Ham Rong High School – educational highlight of Thanh Hoa
Established in 1975, Ham Rong High School is an educational institution with a long history of achievements, possessing a system of modern facilities such as national standard laboratories, electronic libraries, smart classrooms and advanced digital transformation infrastructure. Nearly 60% of the teaching staff have master's degrees, many of whom are former students returning to teach, contributing to maintaining the school's tradition of "Good teachers - Good students".

Responding to the strategic orientation of the Party and State on breakthrough development of Science, Technology - Education - Innovation.
The operation of the STEM room in Thanh Hoa is an important step in the process of realizing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. At the same time, this is also an action to concretize the orientation of General Secretary To Lam on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education in the era of industry - energy - digital technology. The STEM room is part of the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation program - an initiative with the goal of building 100 international standard STEM rooms in 34 provinces/cities, connecting nationwide and expanding international cooperation. The program not only invests in infrastructure but also forms a "STEM ecosystem", including teacher training, developing Master Trainers and organizing experiential activities and scientific research for students.
Petrovietnam commits to accompany education - nurturing future generations
Representing Petrovietnam’s leadership, Mr. Le Manh Cuong – Deputy General Director – affirmed the commitment of the oil and gas industry in accompanying the education cause. He said that, as a national enterprise, Petrovietnam is always deeply aware of its responsibility to contribute to the sustainable development of the community, especially for the future generations of the country. He expressed his hope that the modern STEM room system will effectively support teaching, create an inspiring learning environment for students, thereby nurturing young talents and contributing to building high-quality human resources for Thanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general.

Government leaders pay special attention to Thanh Hoa education.
Speaking at the ceremony, as a tribute to his old school, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long expressed his emotion when returning to the place he had been attached to during the difficult years. He also sent his thanks to Petrovietnam and PTSC, noting that in just a record time of 2 weeks, the STEM room was completed and put into use. The Deputy Prime Minister hoped that the students would effectively exploit this classroom. This is also the most practical contribution on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ham Rong High School.

In response to that spirit, Mr. Thieu Anh Duong - Principal of Ham Rong High School - sent his thanks to Petrovietnam and PTSC for sponsoring the international standard STEM room, creating conditions for teachers and students to improve the quality of comprehensive education, promote the capacity and qualities of students, and at the same time create the premise for them to do scientific research and integrate internationally.

Inauguration of STEM Practice Room – International standard learning space
Petrovietnam STEM Innovation Practical Education Room was officially put into use in the presence of Government leaders, Petrovietnam leaders, Thanh Hoa province leaders and the school community. This is a modern learning space, designed according to international standards NGSS, ISTE, CSTA, fully meeting the requirements for interdisciplinary teaching, experimental practice and scientific research of students.

The classroom is equipped with 6 functional blocks, including: 86-inch interactive screen, online conference system, AI-IoT programming computer, VEX robot, 3D printer, CNC cutting machine, energy-environment topic experiment set, along with digital learning materials and advanced classroom management system. The model is built with the goal of creating an intuitive and practical learning environment, supporting the formation of scientific, technical and creative thinking for students.

During the exchange session, student representatives expressed their deep gratitude to Petrovietnam and PTSC for sponsoring international standard classrooms, providing opportunities to access modern technology right at school in a practical and engaging way. The students could not hide their joy and pride, eager to explore, learn and experiment with new knowledge in this inspiring learning environment.

Students are excited to experience the STEM room
Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, students participated in the STEM room with robot programming, 3D simulation, 3D printing model design and energy and environment experiments. These activities help students access knowledge intuitively, increase interest and inspire the spirit of scientific discovery.

The handover and commissioning of the STEM room at Ham Rong High School is a testament to the commitment of Petrovietnam and PTSC in the journey of accompanying Vietnamese education. Not only stopping at material support, the program aims to create a modern learning environment, encourage creative thinking and nurture the passion for science for the young generation; this will continue to be the driving force for PTSC to promote corporate social responsibility, contributing with Petrovietnam to spread positive values to the community.
