The series' familiar female director, Yukiyo Teramoto, returns to direct the new film based on the original comic by the late author Fujiko Fujio. Thanks to Doraemon's new treasure, Nobita's group of friends this time ventures to Artoria - a medieval European kingdom - to search for the precious blue gem Artoria Blue, considered the material that makes paintings become the most magical and shimmering.

The group meets a mysterious girl named Claire, discovers a curse and a plot that could destroy the world . Nobita and Doraemon once again "save the world" by uniting together.
