Regiment 719 donated breeding cows to 32 households in difficult circumstances.

(DN) - On the afternoon of August 28, Regiment 719 (Army Corps 16) coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of Bom Bo and Dak Nhau communes, Dong Nai province, to hand over breeding cows to 32 disadvantaged households in the area. Colonel Doan Ngoc Qua, Deputy Commander of Army Corps 16, attended and directed the handover ceremony.

Accordingly, each household was given a breeding cow that had been fully vaccinated and quarantined. Previously, households in the project area of ​​Regiment 719 were instructed on how to build livestock barns, waste treatment measures, planting techniques, and processing and storing feed for cows.

This is an activity within the National Target Program 2024, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party, State, Army and Corps for ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances, creating sustainable livelihoods, helping people develop the economy , and sustainably escape poverty.

Implementing the National Target Program for the period 2021-2025, Army Corps 16 has supported 1,444 breeding animals for 1,411 poor and near-poor households, helping to reduce the number of poor households by more than 500 (equivalent to 7.38%); adopted and supported 101 ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances in 9 border communes; organized 8 ethnic knowledge training classes for nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers, employees and workers in the project area.

At Regiment 719, from 2022 to present, the unit has handed over 80 breeding cows to 80 households with a total value of more than 2.8 billion VND, at the same time opened 3 training classes, distributed technical documents and coordinated with local veterinary services to monitor and support livestock farming.

The handover of breeding cows this time not only has the meaning of material support but also conveys the trust and solidarity between the army and the people, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals in the locality, and brightening the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people.
