At the meeting, representatives of relevant units and entities discussed solutions to resolve and handle collective trademarks including: Gia Kiem water celery, Pepper Loc Thinh pepper, Cam My durian, Long Khanh black fungus, Thanh Luong - Binh Long free-range chicken, Thanh Luong - Binh Long cowhide longan, Loc Ninh pepper; certified trademarks including: Tra Co green-legged shrimp, Binh Phuoc rubber. In addition, there are geographical indications: grapefruit, rambutan, cashew nuts.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology Vo Hoang Khai requested trademark management entities to review and agree with localities on appropriate handling plans for certification trademarks, collective trademarks, and geographical indications.
The specialized departments and offices of the Department of Science and Technology coordinate with relevant units to strengthen guidance for trademark and geographical indication management entities and localities to ensure appropriate implementation of plans, in accordance with procedures and regulations related to intellectual property.
