According to statistics, as of 2022, there will be 1.66 million international students studying highereducation programs across Europe. With the aim of promoting education and expanding access for international students, many European countries apply low or even free tuition fees for students studying at public universities.
Mr. Julien Guerrier - EU Ambassador to Vietnam.
The rich scholarship policies with hundreds of thousands of programs spread across Europe are also an advantage. Among them, I would like to emphasize the prestigious Erasmus+ program, one of the most widely known and loved scholarship programs of the EU. This program offers scholarships and grants to students to have the opportunity to experience studying in many European countries.
Europe offers a wide range of options in terms of schools, courses and financial support.
One of the highlights is academic mobility thanks to the Bologna process. This unified framework ensures the common recognition of degrees and learning processes completed by students at other universities, simplifies the transfer process, standardizes the quality of education, and optimizes learning and development opportunities in different countries.
Multicultural environment enriches experiences and develops skills
Of course, the benefits of studying in Europe do not stop at acquiring knowledge in the classroom. In this regard, I would like to highlight the following attractions that cannot be found anywhere else in the world .
First, it's about language learning. With 24 official languages and many dialects spoken across the 27 EU countries, studying in Europe offers a unique opportunity to learn a new language both inside and outside the classroom.
The multicultural environment creates ideal conditions for practicing new languages.
The second is about European heritage and culture. Besides innovation and technology, Europe is still the cradle of philosophy, literature, music , architecture, art and sport. Many of our universities were founded in the 11th century and are still housed in buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. That is something that is hard to find anywhere else.
Since May 2018, the visa policy has been adjusted to allow students and researchers to stay in Europe for at least 9 months after completing their studies or research to find a job or set up a business. In addition, students will have the right to work at least 15 hours per week. This is especially helpful for students who want to finance their studies in Europe.
Wide career opportunities when choosing to study abroad in Europe.
Opportunity to access comprehensive information about studying in Europe
In 2024, the annual European Education Week will return to mark its largest scale since the event began in 2014, with the first-ever direct participation of representatives from nearly 60 universities across Europe, providing the most detailed information about study programmes and attractive scholarship opportunities.
European Education Week is organized annually by the Delegation of the European Union and the Embassies of EU Member States in Vietnam.
In addition, Erasmus+ Vietnam Day, organized for the first time within the framework of European Education Week 2024, aims to share comprehensive information about the Erasmus+ programme for universities, organizations and education managers, while creating opportunities for Vietnamese and European universities to expand connections, share professional experiences in cooperation projects, and establish new partnerships.
It can be seen that studying in Europe is a unique, integrated experience: academic - cultural - social and personal. What you bring back to Vietnam is your own Europe along with historical, social and innovative values that help broaden your mind.
