According to Tuoi Tre Online, player Nguyen Xuan Son will be transferred directly from Noi Bai airport to the hospital at around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, and will undergo surgery to treat his injury at 6 p.m. the same evening.

The tibia and fibula fractures suffered by player Nguyen Xuan Son in the first half of the ASEAN Cup final last night are of great concern to football fans across the country. Immediately after the team arrives at Noi Bai airport, Xuan Son will be picked up by an ambulance and taken straight to the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center. It is expected that the surgery to treat his injury will be performed at 6:00 p.m. tonight. Talking to reporters, an experienced doctor in Hanoi said that a specific examination is needed to assess, but according to the doctor's experience, Xuan Son will have to practice rehabilitation for 6-7 months after surgery before he can practice and compete again. The Vietnam Football Federation as well as the leadership of Nam Dinh Club said that they have encouraged striker Nguyen Xuan Son, pledging to do their best to help him recover soon.
