250 delegates are expected to attend the Congress of the Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks and Nuns of Kien Giang province.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province Le Thanh Viet - Head of the Congress Steering Committee gave a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang Province Le Thanh Viet requested members of the Steering Committee and sub-committees to be more proactive in coordinating to advise the Steering Committee to organize the congress successfully. In addition, it is necessary to ensure food safety and hygiene; develop a good plan to ensure security and order and other tasks.

The report at the meeting said that, up to now, 100% of the Patriotic Buddhist Monks Solidarity Associations of districts, inter-districts, and cities have successfully organized congresses.

The 8th Congress of the Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks and Monks of Kien Giang province is expected to be held at the end of December 2024 at the Kien Giang Provincial Cultural and Art Center; with about 250 delegates attending.
