From May 28 to 29, 2025, the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni, the sacred national treasure of India, will be enshrined at the Chuong Pagoda ( Hung Yen city).
This is a spiritual event of special significance, expected to attract about half a million people and 200,000 vehicles to the Chuong Pagoda area to worship and perform rituals.
To serve this important event, all levels, sectors and localities in the province are urgently and synchronously implementing measures to ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, food safety, health and the best service conditions for the people and tourists.
Police force strengthens security and absolute safety
Hung Yen Provincial Police have developed a plan to ensure absolute safety for the procession and the enshrinement of the relics. The police force has been mobilized to the maximum, closely coordinating with local units to direct traffic, block roads on some routes, control traffic, prevent fires and explosions, and prevent acts of taking advantage of the event to cause disorder.
Working groups and checkpoints were established and maintained on duty 24/7. Local police were reinforced with more forces and equipment to patrol, inspect, and promptly handle arising situations, avoiding surprises and passivity. At the same time, attention was paid to combating and preventing false information and exploiting events to cause conflicts between religions.
The health sector is proactive and ready to respond to all situations.
Expecting a large number of people and tourists to flock to Hung Yen city during the Buddha's relic procession, the City Medical Center will organize disinfection spraying in the procession and relic display areas, strengthen epidemiological surveillance, disease prevention, especially infectious diseases in the community...
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tue, Director of Hung Yen City Medical Center said: We arranged 5 mobile first aid and emergency points in the event area, fully equipped with equipment, medicine and assigned medical staff on duty 24/7. The Center also proposed that the Department of Health support additional ambulances and provide professional guidance when necessary.
Along with that, food safety inspections were strictly carried out at collective kitchens and processing facilities. From May 27 to 29, the Organizing Committee prepared hundreds of thousands of free meals and drinks to serve people and tourists. Thousands of volunteers from many provinces and cities participated in supporting logistics, guiding people, and distributing free food and drinks.
In addition, many households voluntarily distributed bread, drinks, arranged resting places, parking spots and free restrooms for tourists, demonstrating the hospitality and kindness of Pho Hien people.
Ensure environmental sanitation, landscape beautification
Hung Yen Urban Construction and Environment Joint Stock Company has arranged 100% of its staff to continuously clean the Chuong Pagoda area and surrounding roads. Many public toilets and mobile trash cans have been added, and specialized vehicles have been used to transport waste to ensure a clean and civilized environment.
