Da Nang tourism earns over 1,500 billion during Tet

On the afternoon of February 13, the Da Nang Department of Tourism announced that the total tourism revenue in the area during the 7-day Tet holiday of 2024 (from February 8 to 14) is estimated at VND 1,580 billion. The city welcomed a total of 402,000 visitors, including 177,000 international visitors.

Da Nang Airport welcomed 777 flights, both domestic and international, during the Tet holiday. On average, there are 111 flights arriving in Da Nang every day, including 58 domestic flights and 53 international flights.

On this occasion, 3 cruise ships docked at Tien Sa port, bringing 3,400 visitors to visit famous places in Da Nang and stay for 1 night. The number of locals and tourists participating in the Han River cruise experience was also quite high, estimated at 21,680, an increase of about 50% compared to the same period last year.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism said that during this time, the majority of visitors are individual travelers, accounting for about 60%-70%. Visitors are concentrated on the days from the 2nd to the 5th of Tet. When visiting Da Nang, visitors mainly choose to stay at 4-5 star hotels and equivalents in coastal areas.

The Department of Tourism said that the number of tourists traveling on tours during the Lunar New Year holiday increased compared to the New Year holiday due to the long holiday period. Tourists mainly travel in small groups. Domestic tourists mainly come from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Quang Nam , Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Ngai... International tourists mainly come from Korea, Taiwan (China), Japan, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the US, Australia...

Some tourist areas and spots in the area also welcomed a large number of visitors. Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area welcomed more than 82,000 visitors, Asia Park welcomed nearly 35,000 visitors, Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors, Son Tra peninsula welcomed more than 70,000 visitors, Mikazuki water park welcomed nearly 11,000 visitors, Nui Than Tai hot spring park welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors...
