On the morning of January 1, 2025 - In the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the new year, at the Phong Nha Cave Visitor Reception Center, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board held a ceremony to welcome the first visitors to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage in 2025.
Solemn and meaningful welcome ceremony
The ceremony took place at 7:30 am with the presence of many delegates, guests and tourists. Among them, there was the participation of Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, Mr. Ha Quoc Phong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports , leaders of the People's Committee of Bo Trach district, Phong Nha town, Phuc Trach commune, along with representatives of travel companies and reporters. In particular, Mr. Pham Hong Thai - Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board chaired the ceremony and sent New Year greetings to delegates and tourists.

Welcome the first 68 guests
This year, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is pleased to welcome its first 68 visitors, including 36 international visitors from countries such as Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Canada and the UK; and 32 domestic visitors from Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Quang Ninh and Nghe An.
Mr. Pham Hong Thai - Director of PNKB National Park, together with local leaders, directly presented flowers, lucky red envelopes and souvenirs to the first guests, demonstrating the friendliness and hospitality of Quang Binh people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Thai emphasized: “This is an activity demonstrating the culture of hospitality, starting a series of tourism stimulus programs in 2025. We hope that visitors will have impressive experiences at the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage, while sending a message of a new year of peace, prosperity and success.”
Interesting journeys
Immediately after the ceremony, the delegation joined the journey to explore the “Phong Nha Cave – Chay River, Dark Cave by river”. Here, visitors enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery, participated in exciting activities such as kayaking, ziplining, playing sports on the river and exploring Phong Nha Cave – “The first wonder of the cave”.
A tourist from Japan shared: “The first time I came here, I was very impressed with the warm welcome of everyone. This tour really exceeded my expectations, from the beauty of nature to the hospitality of the people. I will definitely come back with my family and friends.”

The event of welcoming the first visitors has opened an optimistic start for Quang Binh tourism in general and Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in particular.
