Taliya Cruise advertises and sells false products in Ha Long

A yacht with the registration number of Hai Phong City operating in Ha Long City advertised and sold products with false information.

On April 7, information from the People's Committee of Ha Long City ( Quang Ninh ) said that local authorities had just verified information from a group of tourists about the Taliya Cruise yacht advertising and selling false products.

Taliya Cruise has a registration number from Hai Phong but operates in Ha Long City.

Previously, at around 10pm on April 6, the hotline of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province received a complaint from a group of about 14 tourists. Accordingly, the group booked a buffet dinner service on a cruise ship through a travel agency for VND13.5 million. However, when boarding the ship, the tourists discovered that they did not enjoy all the promised services, the quality did not match the price, the food was lacking and the service was slow.

After verification, the Inspector of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province confirmed that the Taliya Cruise ship was not registered in Quang Ninh. Document No. 561/SVHTTDL-QLLT dated April 7 was sent to the People's Committee of Ha Long City to coordinate in resolving the case.

On the morning of April 7, the leaders of Ha Long City directed the authorities to receive information and work directly with the group of tourists to verify the incident. Through discussions with the Quang Ninh Port Authority, the authorities determined that the Taliya Cruise had received tourists through Tuan Chau International Passenger Port and that the advertising and sales information of the travel company related to the services on the ship was not true.

During the meeting, the representative of Taliya Cruise admitted the mistake, apologized to the customer and committed to refunding the service fee as requested.

Ha Long City authorities are continuing to work and request the ship to provide full contracts with travel companies related to customers on board to take measures to handle according to regulations.
