• EXPLOITATION OF DIVERSE HERITAGE
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong emphasized that after the merger with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, Lam Dong is facing an unprecedented opportunity to make a breakthrough in socio -economic development. With a large area, unique cultural diversity and especially the presence of Da Lat - UNESCO Creative City, Lam Dong can completely position itself as a leading cultural industrial center, creating a strong and sustainable growth momentum.
Lam Dong is not only famous for its lush green tea hills and ancient French architecture, but is also home to many ethnic communities with distinct cultural identities. From the Central Highlands gong festival to the traditional customs of the K'Ho and Ma people, Lam Dong is a rich and diverse cultural treasure.
The addition of the coastal area helps Lam Dong to possess more ecological and cultural diversity, creating a rich and attractive overall picture for tourists. The most important highlight is Da Lat, the city honored by UNESCO as a Creative City in the field of Music. This is not only a source of pride but also a "key" for Lam Dong to open the door to international integration and develop the cultural industry.
Not only that, Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh also said that Dak Nong also has similarities in ecosystems and potential in this field. UNESCO Global Geopark was named in July 2021. This place contains full cultural, natural, historical, biodiversity, geological, and geomorphological heritages. And Dak Nong with 40 ethnic groups living in harmony, also wants to take culture as the core to guide development in the coming time.
In her speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong also proposed that, in order to turn potential into reality, Lam Dong needs a systematic, visionary cultural industry development strategy and close coordination between all levels of government, functional sectors and local communities. Experience from creative countries and cities around the world shows that promoting interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary aspects in creating cultural industrial products and services is a key factor in creating attractiveness for tourist destinations. Cultural attractions at tourist destinations are highly competitive factors from the perspective of tourism products. Therefore, many places have viewed culture as an asset, a special tool to enhance competitiveness and attract tourists.
Dalat’s membership in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) is a strategic advantage. As a member of the global network, Dalat has the opportunity to promote its image, attract investment, and cooperate with other cities to develop the cultural industry, especially in the music sector.

• BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE MUSIC TOURISM ECOSYSTEM
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong said that after the merger, there will be difficulties and challenges, but this is also an opportunity for Lam Dong to reshape its role, not only as a famous tourist destination but also as a leading music creative center in the region.
To achieve this goal, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong proposed that Lam Dong focus on key solutions such as: Building a digital map integrating information about all tourist destinations, cultural heritages, festivals, events and local creative products; creating a platform connecting artists, businesses, investors and tourists; prioritizing investment in infrastructure for creative spaces, startup centers, museums, theaters and cultural event venues; building policies to support businesses, especially startups in the cultural sector, through tax, financial and administrative incentives.
Da Lat needs to build a development roadmap to become the cultural industrial center of the province, focusing on the music sector. Propose to include cultural industrial development projects in the National Target Program on Cultural Development. Position Da Lat as the "Creative Music Capital of Asia" and build a sustainable music tourism ecosystem.
In addition, it is necessary to establish a creative activities coordination board to connect artists, businesses and cultural organizations in Da Lat and other creative cities. Organize training programs, workshops, exhibitions and cultural events to enhance the creative capacity of the community.
Establish a fund to finance creative projects and cultural and artistic activities. Mobilize capital from domestic and foreign organizations, businesses and individuals.
