According to the plan, on August 19, 3 sections of the North-South Expressway project will be completed, including: Vung Ang - Bung, Van Ninh - Cam Lo, Van Phong - Nha Trang. The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh sections will also be put into operation. These are projects that have been completed more than 3 months ahead of schedule.
Bringing projects to completion earlier than planned not only demonstrates the will and determination of the Government , ministries and localities, but also creates new momentum for the double-digit growth target in the coming time.
The shortening of hundreds of construction days is the result of consensus from policy to action, increasing the total length of national expressways to 2,476 km. The North-South arterial traffic axis is also gradually being extended, a new boost for the economic growth target.
The target of 3,000 km of expressway by the end of this year is not just a number, but a concrete step forward on the journey to turn Vietnam into a country with a transport infrastructure on par with developed countries in the region. In particular, the 2,063 km long North-South Expressway, connecting Lang Son to Ca Mau, will be a strategic connecting axis in terms of economy, culture, society, and national defense and security.
