According to the report of Duc Trong District People's Committee, by the end of 2024, the whole district will have about 3,332 food establishments. Of which, the number of establishments under the management of the health sector: 1,303 (district level management: 411, commune level: 892 establishments); agriculture sector: 312 (district level management: 76, commune level: 236 establishments); industry and trade sector: 1,717 establishments. The issuance of food safety certificates in 2024 will reach 128, of which 86 are for health, 25 for agriculture, and 17 for industry and trade, an increase of 36% (34 certificates) compared to 2023.
The district-wide inspection and post-inspection work has been carried out at 1,390 establishments, of which 82 establishments were fined for violations, and 491 million VND was collected for the budget. The number of inspections increased by 64% compared to 2023, and the fines decreased by 3.5%, showing that the establishments' awareness of law compliance is higher than before (in 2023, 847 establishments were inspected, 85 establishments were fined, and the amount of 525.35 million VND was collected).

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Mau The - Vice Chairman of Duc Trong District People's Committee, emphasized: Duc Trong district will carry out many major activities during the peak period of the Food Safety Action Month 2025, which will take place from April 15 to May 15, 2025. The district's goal is to strive to prevent food poisoning incidents in the district in 2025; this year, 80% of establishments eligible for food safety will be granted Certificates; 90% of school kitchens, nursery groups, mobile cooking establishments and wedding restaurants will be inspected and assessed for food safety and hygiene. At the same time, promoting the sense of responsibility to the community of individuals, production and business organizations, and consumers in ensuring food safety.
