Therefore, the Ministry of Health requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, the Institutes of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and the Pasteur Institute to pay attention to directing the strengthening of epidemic prevention and control during the transitional season. Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Health, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province has assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and cities to implement epidemic prevention and control contents. In particular, the Department of Agriculture and Environment shall strengthen proactive monitoring, early detection, and timely handling of animal diseases, especially avian influenza, rabies, anthrax, etc., promptly share information with the health sector to implement measures to prevent infection to humans; effectively manage dogs and cats and vaccinate livestock, poultry, and pets.

The Departmentof Education and Training organizes and implements disease prevention and control activities at educational institutions, especially kindergartens, preschools, and nurseries; conducts school communication on disease prevention and control and vaccination; performs well in school health work, promptly detects suspected cases of infectious diseases and notifies medical facilities for timely coordination and handling; effectively coordinates and implements vaccination campaigns at educational institutions.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and Lam Dong Newspaper shall strengthen communication on disease prevention and control; coordinate in providing recommendations and instructions for people to implement personal disease prevention measures, get vaccinated and change behavior, and improve health. The Department of Finance shall continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to allocate funds for disease prevention and control in the province in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Law and current guiding documents.

The People's Committees of districts and cities mobilize departments, branches, and socio-political organizations to coordinate with the health sector to effectively implement disease prevention and control activities and expanded vaccination in the area; promote propaganda work to recommend and guide people to implement disease prevention measures for individuals and families and raise awareness and change behavior to protect health...

• ENSURING EPIDEMIC PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACTIVITIES AFTER MERGER OF MEDICAL UNITS

Lam Dong Department of Health directs medical examination and treatment facilities to perform well in patient admission, timely treatment, emergency care, minimize cases of severe illness and death, and perform good infection control, prevent cross-infection in medical facilities, strengthen protection of patients in high-risk groups (elderly people, children, pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, patients treated in intensive care units, cardiovascular, artificial kidney, surgery, etc.). Medical centers of districts and cities strengthen inspection, monitoring, early detection of suspected cases of infectious diseases; early detection, timely treatment, minimizing cases of severe disease progression and death. Proactively and actively deploy measures to prevent and control infectious diseases in the area; prepare plans to respond to epidemic situations.
