Small parks in Ha Tinh City are increasingly attracting many urban residents to come and relax, so raising awareness of preserving and protecting common property needs to become a regular activity of each citizen.
With many resources, in recent years, Ha Tinh City has invested in building many small parks, becoming places for entertainment and relaxation for people after a tiring day of work. These are also highlights of the urban landscape, contributing to building an increasingly civilized and modern city.
However, through observations at some small parks in the area, littering, weed invasion, and damaged sports equipment and facilities still occur. Plastic bottles, nylon bags, and other waste are left behind in the small park of the Northern Urban Area of Ha Tinh city.
The main reason is that the awareness of some people is not high, when coming to play at the small parks, they "carelessly" litter, lack of awareness of property preservation (sports equipment). Meanwhile, the authorities of wards and communes have not really paid attention to the management and use of small parks, especially focusing on environmental sanitation, landscaping, and maintenance of items.
Ms. Tran Thi Huong - a resident of the Northern Urban Area of Ha Tinh City shared: "I really like to go to the small parks to relax and exercise in the early morning and late afternoon. Witnessing many people, especially young people, coming here to play and then leaving plastic bottles and cups haphazardly, polluting the environment, I feel very sad. I think that, along with propaganda and raising awareness for people, the ward government should launch campaigns to clean up trash and cut grass regularly to make the small parks more beautiful, clean and airy."
Over time, many tools and toys in some small parks have been damaged but have not been repaired.
Ha Tinh City is striving to become one of the central cities of the North Central region, with a synchronous, smart, modern infrastructure, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people. Ward and commune authorities also need to pay more attention to the maintenance, protection and management of small parks; mobilize social resources to invest in upgrading and renovating the campus and infrastructure to promote the effectiveness and objectives of small parks, contributing to serving the needs of local people.
