Stop piloting the Phu Ly City Walking Street Project from June 30

The Phu Ly City Walking Street has been piloted since 2022. After nearly three years of operation, the walking street has created a space for entertainment, recreation, and performing arts to meet the cultural and spiritual needs of local people and visitors from inside and outside the province. With regular activities every Saturday evening, the walking street has attracted thousands of visitors to visit, experience, enjoy street food and watch special performances by artists, wards, communes and people.

However, the continued operation of Phu Ly walking street also faces some limitations such as: the walking space is not fixed, the investment in infrastructure is limited, and the operation of the street also has certain impacts on the daily life and travel of the people.

Implementing the province's planning on expanding public space to meet people's needs,Sun Group Ha Nam Corporation has invested in a system of entertainment parks, walking spaces, and food markets at Festival Square, Lam Ha Ward, Phu Ly City with synchronous and modern infrastructure to meet people's entertainment needs and start operating from June 13, 2025 (fixed schedule on Friday and Saturday evenings every week).

Pursuant to Notice No. 255-TB/VPTU dated June 9, 2025 announcing the opinion of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the policy of stopping the pilot project of the Phu Ly City Walking Street, the City People's Committee has the following opinion:

The Management Board of Phu Ly City Walking Street announces in writing as well as propaganda information about stopping the pilot project of Phu Ly City Walking Street at Bien Hoa Street and Chau Cau Street from June 30, 2025; starting the walking space, food market at Festival Square, Lam Ha Ward, Phu Ly City from June 13, 2025 (fixed schedule on Friday and Saturday evenings every week) invested by Sun Group Ha Nam Corporation.
