Duy Xuyen trains in lending to poor households and policy beneficiaries

At the training course, more than 200 union officials, unions, and members of savings and loan groups in the three communes of Duy Phuoc, Duy Thanh, and Duy Vinh were informed about policy credit programs; functions, tasks, powers, and solutions to improve the quality of savings and loan groups in policy credit activities. At the same time, instructions were given on how to organize and keep records of the group.

Besides, the staff of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Duy Xuyen district discussed and evaluated the achieved results and pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the operation of the savings and loan groups; answered questions during the operation as well as guided group members in setting up loan applications and managing loan sources.

Through the training course, it aims to help union officials, organizations, and members of savings and loan groups grasp preferential credit policies for poor households and other policy beneficiaries; improve professional knowledge and working skills to apply in practice and manage loan capital for the right purpose and effectively.

It is known that by the end of March 2024, the total outstanding debt of social policy credit programs in Duy Xuyen district reached 465.3 billion VND, with 10,973 households accessing capital. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security.
