EVN, EVNNPT received Labor Medal for 500 kV circuit 3 project

(Chinhphu.vn) - Recognizing the outstanding achievements in completing the 500kV line 3 project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi ahead of schedule, on the morning of August 19, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).

The well-deserved recognition and rewards from the Party and State are an honor and a great motivation for leaders, officers and employees of EVN and EVNNPT to continue to strive to fulfill assigned political tasks.

Collectives and individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal for their outstanding achievements in participating in the construction of the 500 kV line 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

The 500 kV circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi transmission line project was assigned by the Prime Minister to the National Power Transmission Corporation under Vietnam Electricity Group as the investor.

The project has a total length of 519 km, including 1,177 pole locations (passing through 211 communes/wards/towns of 43 districts and towns in 9 provinces including Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh , Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh - before the merger), with a total investment of more than 22,300 billion VND. These are power transmission projects that play a particularly important role in improving the stable reserve on the North - Central interface, supplementing capacity from the North Central region to the Northern region, reducing the load on existing 500 kV lines to ensure the N-1 criteria.

Since the beginning of the investment and construction, the 500kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi project has received the attention, support, and strong and regular direction of the entire political system, especially the direction and management of the Government and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh himself. With new thinking, methods, and ways of doing things compared to the previous way of doing things, the project implementation time has been significantly shortened, meeting the requirements of project completion progress as directed by the Prime Minister.

Under the strong direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the attention and support of ministries, localities and people, EVN, EVNNPT and the units participating in the project promoted the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", working "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "through holidays, through Tet, through days off" and made efforts to overcome difficulties; after more than 6 months, the project was completed, energized and inaugurated on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, 2024.

The commendation and well-deserved rewards from the Party and the State are an honor and a great motivation for leaders, cadres and workers in EVN and EVNNPT to continue to strive to fulfill assigned political tasks. Leveraging the experience from the 500kV line 3 project, EVN and EVNNPT will continue to improve their investment and construction management capacity, optimize resources and mobilize collective intelligence and individual responsibility to complete other key national power projects in the coming time.

Previously, on August 28, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 922/QD-TTg awarding Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 17 individuals; on May 15, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 927/QD-TTg awarding Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and 6 individuals of EVN and EVNNPT who had outstanding achievements in participating in the construction of the 500 kV line circuit 3, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
