Leading the delegation of the Lao Central Enterprise Reform Committee is Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury, Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office, Permanent Member of the Central Enterprise Reform Committee.

The working session between EVN and the Lao Central Enterprise Reform Board is of great significance, contributing to consolidating and developing the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, while creating a forum for exchanging practical experiences in reforming, managing and improving the efficiency of state-owned enterprises.
In his welcoming speech, Comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan emphasized the special and close friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and highly appreciated the significance of the working trip in strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences in reform, governance and improving the operational efficiency of state-owned enterprises.
Introducing EVN's development orientation, comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan said that Vietnam has clearly identified strategic pillars: ensuring national energy security, improving governance efficiency, sustainable development associated with green energy and digital transformation. EVN focuses on deploying power sources and grids according to the adjusted Power Plan VIII; prioritizing the development of zero-emission energy sources, laying the foundation for new energy production, such as green hydrogen, green ammonia; at the same time, improving customer service quality, building a smart, flexible and environmentally friendly power system, aiming to become the leading power supplier in the region.
Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury - Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office, Standing Member of the Central Enterprise Reform Committee of Laos, said that Laos currently has more than 170 state-owned enterprises operating in many fields. To improve efficiency, the Lao Government has established the Central Enterprise Reform Committee to guide reforms, strengthen governance capacity and competitiveness. Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury thanked EVN for taking the time to receive the delegation and share experiences.
At the meeting, delegates discussed many issues related to improving the management and operation efficiency of state-owned enterprises. Through sharing about development strategies, business models and human resource management, the two sides not only enhanced mutual understanding but also opened up opportunities for deeper cooperation in many fields.
