On November 20, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Musicians Association met with the press to introduce the 4th Asia-Europe International New Music Festival, Vietnam 2025.

Speaking at the event, Major General, musician Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, said that the Asia-Europe International New Music Festival has been held three times in Vietnam, in 2014, 2016, and 2018. Each edition attracted over 200 musicians, artists, singers... from more than 40 countries around the world, bringing exciting and quality musical exchange activities.
This year, the Vietnam Musicians Association continues to coordinate with central departments and branches and Hanoi to organize the 4th Asia-Europe International New Music Festival in 2025, taking place from November 27 to December 1 in Hanoi and Phu Tho .
This is a practical activity to implement Plan No. 390-KH/BTGTU dated November 15, 2023 of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission to organize activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); Implement the Conclusion of the Central Party Secretariat on organizing the summary of 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification in Official Dispatch No. 7907-CV/VPTU, dated September 18, 2023 of the Central Party Office.
The 4th Asia-Europe International New Music Festival in 2025 is an art forum for Vietnam to continue promoting the achievements of Vietnam's revolutionary music and promote new works of Vietnamese musicians to international friends.
This is also an opportunity for foreign musicians and artists to better understand the country, people, culture and music of Vietnam, contributing to consolidating and tightening good relationships and enhancing the position of Vietnam's professional music industry in the world.

Regarding the activities, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Chairman of the Arts Council - Vietnam Musicians Association, said that this year's Festival has the participation of nearly 30 international musicians and artists from: Russian Federation, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Adygea, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, China, Australia, Laos.
Besides, there are more than 220 musicians and artists from domestic art troupes: Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet; Military University of Culture and Arts, Vietnam Musicians Association...
The special feature of this year’s Asia-Europe International New Music Festival, according to Associate Professor Dr. Do Hong Quan, is the presence of many works written about Vietnam by international musicians. In addition to international musicians, the festival also has the participation of the Moscow Contemporary Chamber Orchestra (Russia) performing and interacting with Vietnamese artists and musicians.
Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan commented that the Asia-Europe International New Music Festival is a major musical event, affirming the borderless connecting power of instrumental music. The participation of many international musicians and artists who are composing, with works rich in contemporary character, shows that in the eyes of international friends, Vietnam's musical life is increasingly evaluated professionally. Also through the festivals, it can be seen that the young creative force of Vietnamese music is growing stronger. Hopefully, through this year's festival, the position of Vietnamese music on the world music map will be further enhanced.
The organizers said that the 4th Asia-Europe International New Music Festival, Vietnam 2025 opened on the evening of November 27, at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi). This was followed by international chamber music concerts, chamber music concerts of young Vietnamese musicians, and traditional folk music concerts held at the Small Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music; Concert Hall of the Military University of Culture and Arts (Hanoi); Heritage Park (Cao Phong, Phu Tho).
The festival's closing ceremony and symphony concert took place on the evening of December 1 at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Within the framework of the festival, there will also be 3 lectures by international experts for students of the Vietnam National Academy of Music on the topics: Combination of Eastern and Western musical instruments, orchestra conducting, chamber performance and chamber orchestra conducting.
