The Festival is scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 1, 2025, in Hanoi and Phu Tho. This is a large-scale music event, marking the return after a 7-year hiatus of a Festival that created a buzz in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 seasons.
The 2025 Festival is expected to become an open forum for artistic exchange, where Vietnam promotes the achievements of revolutionary music and introduces new compositions by Vietnamese musicians to international friends. This is also an opportunity for foreign artists to better understand the country, people and music of Vietnam, thereby contributing to strengthening connections and enhancing the position of Vietnamese professional music on the world music map.
According to musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , this year's event has the participation of nearly 30 international musicians and artists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, China... In addition, the program also brings together more than 220 artists from major domestic art troupes such as the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, Military University of Culture and Arts...
An expected highlight is the appearance of many works written about Vietnam by international musicians, showing the influence of Vietnamese music in the world's artistic life. The Festival also welcomes the Russian Contemporary Chamber Orchestra to perform and interact with Vietnamese artists.
The main activities of the Festival include the opening ceremony on the evening of November 27 at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music. In the following days, the public will enjoy many international chamber music concerts, concerts by young Vietnamese musicians and traditional music performances at many locations in Hanoi and Phu Tho.
The organizers also held three specialized classes for music students, taught by international experts on East-West instrument fusion, orchestra conducting and chamber performance, contributing to enhancing the capacity of young creative forces of Vietnamese music.
